Rough Idle and Skipping

I have a 01 Silverado with a 5.3 and a skipping and idle problem. About a month ago while driving around 50 mph I noticed that it started skipping very lightly. Later that day while taking off from a stop sign it stalled in the intersection. Cranked up fine and ran good for about 2-3 weeks. At that time I thought it might be some bad gas. Two days ago while driving around 50 mph again it started skipping very slightly again. Was running low on gas so got it from somewhere else than previous time. Ran good for the rest of the day until yesterday. I had taken my sons fishing and when we got back in the truck, it did not want to crank. Had to hold gas pedal down to get started. After which it cut off again. Did the same keeping the pedal down. After that at every stop sign the idle was very low around 500 and it wanted to stall with it reaching the point of all of the lights and gauges dropping. Thought about cleaning TB. Any other suggestions?

First thing I would check is the fuel pressure regulator. A failed regulator would create some of the symptoms you describe.
