resistance when in 4x4

Applied the 4x4 on a snowy day and it appears that I have a huge resistance the 4x4 works but for some reason the truck wants to slow down big time. Some vibration unusual also coming from the front ent under the driver side. Yukon xl, 2000, 4x4, 5.3 litre, 90 km, This truck is always parked in the garage and rarely put in 4x4. Let me know what you think it could be. All oil level are good.

Any noises such as squeeking or chirping? May be bad u-joints on the front driveshaft.

Yeah it could be something loose. Or maybe something frozen up in the front driveline. NOT using the 4x4 on a regular basis is the worst thing you can do to these 4x4 trucks. You could have the dealership near you check out the front end for you.
