Mrmaxx Posted December 30, 2006 Posted December 30, 2006 I am having an ongoing issue with a leaking freeze plug on my 05 Z71 Tahoe. The freeze plug that is leaking is on the passenger side cylinder head. I would like to know what the PSI is for this Cooling system when the truck is hot. Thanks Bob
ChevyTech007 Posted January 1, 2007 Posted January 1, 2007 About 15 PSI. Where exactly is it leaking. I can not say I have ever seen a freeze plug leak on one of those.

I can not say I have ever seen a freeze plug leak on one of those. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> It is leaking on the passenger side cylinder head. GM has tried to fix it 4 times with epoxy glue. It last for a week or so and then starts leaking again. I am now to the point of hiring an attorney and suing GM under the NYS Lemon Law. Bob
royg Posted January 3, 2007 Posted January 3, 2007 The GM dealer tried to fix this with epoxy glue?????????? This dealership must be a back yard one!!!!!!!!!!! Can't believe that a dealer ould even attempt this. If this was my truck I would not let them do it and tell them to fix it the right way! CHANGE THE FREEZE PLUG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Was this a warranty repair?
