2500HD Fuel Tank

2001 2500HD 4x4 Crew Cab w/ 6.0L. I have had it with the size of the gas tank on my 2500HD.  I prefer to refuel around the 1/4 tank mark which means I get no more than 200 miles per tank. I think that is pathetic for a heavy duty pickup.  In fact, a larger fuel tank is not even an option.  Has anyone replaced their tank with a larger aftermarket replacement version (36-45 gallon)?  I am not interested in the bed mounted fuel tanks for several reasons.

I know where you are coming from!!!  I wish I could hold at least 34 gallons and maybe even more.  I'm going to burn the fuel whether I stop every 250 miles or every 450 miles, so a longer cruising range would be nice...

 

Transfer Flow makes a bigger tank that fits in the stock location, but it is very expensive.  I don'y know of anyone else off the top of my head that makes a replacement tank for the HD's.  Here is their link.
