4 days ago I recieved an email from [email protected] (mm77 from Truck Forums). I did a search on this persons name on this forum, and it turned up nothing, I began to get suspicious.

---------------------------

DEAR FRIEND,

GREETINGS, ITS A PLEASURE AND WISH TO WRITE YOU.

THERE IS A VERY SERIOUS THING THAT WOULD LIKE TO

DISCUSS WITH YOU IN CONFIDENCE...CAN I TRUST YOU???.

YOUR PROMPT RESPONSE WOULD BE HIGHLY APPRECIATED.

HAVE A NICE DAY AND GOD BLESS.

MARY

I reply asking what it was she wanted, and a couple days later I recieved this e-mail from this address: [email protected] , claiming to be the same person.

-----------------------

My dear ,

In all sincerity, I just don`t really know how to start with this. I don`t want you to regard me as one of those impostors or spammers. But I wish to enter into a serious mutual discussion with you concerning transfer of deposit (family treasure) to your country under your titled name and address, for you to invest it for my children. I`m a dying woman writing you from a sick bed. I had been holding my brief in hopes that i would somehow get to my feet and fashion out a more proper approach to this very matter, but wishes are not horses as my health unfortunately deteriorates rapidly on daily basis. Thus I have braced my faith to take the bull by the horn to see how far i could go with this before bowing the stage.

Thank you and God bless.

Mary

This is 100% Nigerian scam, if I was to follow this persons instructions I would lose thousands of dollars. The worst part about it is they claimed to be "mm77" from Truck forums.

I just want to let everyone see this in case they are sent similar emails, DO NOT BE FOOLED.

I like the way "she" closes by saying May God Bless. I would reply to their message by saying "The Eigth Commandment". I say may God have mercy on "her" soul for pulling that crap. :loser:

Yeah, anytime I need help transfering millions of dollars, I email random people and gladly deposit it all into their accounts.

Getting the picture is a nice touch I never thought of.

While on the subject of scams, I'll pass this one along. You get a voice mail from a number you don't recognize, that asks you to call them back. They say they are calling in regard to a hospital bill that needs to be settled before it goes into collections. they are scammers in the Caribbean or virgin islands(or some place I can't afford to live), where the phone numbers are 10 digits. Thus seeming like it originates somewhere stateside. Long story short, you dial the number and end up with a big charge on your bill (a la 900 numbers). Because its outside the US you have little recourse.

The most ridiculous things about these emails is how little creativity there is.

Pretty much the only thing that changes are names. Everybody is a widow or a widower, or on their deathbed, and they all happen to have at least 6 million dollars in cash that they do not know what to do with. In Nigeria of all places!

It looks like they compose all these e-mails from the same script.

I always reply...

You bet I'll help!

As soon as you send me pictures of your boobs with "I LOVE WINGNUTS" written across them...It can say only "NUTS" if size is a limiting concern.
