SES light on 2000 Silverado 5.3

I know that this has probably been brought up in another post, but I have an SES light with a P0440 code. Has anyone else had this, and if so, what was it? Thanks for all the help.

P0440 - Evaporative Emission (EVAP) System.....as per codes listed here: OBD II codes

Could be:

A loose, missing, defective, or incorrect fuel tank cap

Incorrectly routed or defective EVAP system vacuum and vapor lines

A malfunctioning or damaged vapor canister

Thnaks for the info, i know it's not the gas cap, but i'll check the other things. I'll let you know what I find.
