Simple Question...

Any recommendations for painting a 12-year old air cleaner -- brand, type, hi-temp necessary?

 

Just don't want to end up sucking paint chips down into my intake manifold.

Find a custom powder coater in your area. They should be able to do it pretty cheap.

Alot of plastics (especially ones in the engine compartment) can be powder coated. As long as they can withstand a few hundred degrees or so for about 15-25 min.

Hey All...

 

It's a factory/OEM metal box. Sounds like having it powder coated is the way to go. Got'a be someone out here on Hwy 1 that can do it -- I'll check the yellow pages.

Go to a good paint store, PPG has good products. They will have a good plastic prep, adhesion promoter, and primer. From there the colors are endless.
