How much does it change your speedometer?

I'm running 265/75R16 Firestone Steeltex A/Ts on my truck that originally came with 245s. The speedo reads about 3 mph slower than you are really going. Unfortunately, the only pics I have right now are with the 245s. The 265s make the truck look tons better, IMO. The 245s just look tiny on a truck this size. Some guys here are running 285s too, but I don't know what difference it makes on the speedo.

i just switched from 245's to 265's on my 2003 HD for work. when i bought them the guy at the tire place told me he recommend going to 265 because it rides alot better....turns out he knows what he was talking about. I put Michilin LTX M/S 10ply on there.. cost about 760 bucks but there do ride good and it does look alot better with the 265 than the 245. sorry no pics though, ill try to get some if i get time

Very few 1/2 ton trucks had the 245's on them... most had the optional 265's.

 

I believe the Z71 package included the 265's as standard equipment, so just find a Z71 and see how much better it looks with the larger tires!

I had the same tire on my '01 HD and absolutley loved them. This time I tried the REVO's. They are nice, but for the type of driving I do, I think I liked the MTX's better.

I went from 245's to 285's on my stock rims. I had them for 50k miles without any issues then I put a 3"BL on my truck and I now have 305/70/16's on 16x8 rims.
