john1929 Posted January 20, 2007 Posted January 20, 2007 Hi everyone! Does anyone know how to *safely* remove the front door panels in a 2000 GMC Sierra(Probably any GM truck over '99 has the same panel). Im getting new speakers and I dont want to break my door panel......Thanks!! <{POST_SNAPBACK}> <{POST_SNAPBACK}> i have a 2002 tahoe and had to replace the window regulator. There are three nut driver screws, one under the door panel, the other one on the door and the last one you will have to pry off the armrest which most likely has your window and door switches. Once removed the panel just lifts off and the speakers are there.
Wingnut Posted January 20, 2007 Posted January 20, 2007 One behind the triangle at the front of the window (the plastic triangle pulls off, BE CAREFUL). One behind the handle (the one you open the door with, it pops out too). The window switch panel pops off. I think there's one more screw on there, but it's obvious. Then lift the panel straight upwards. If you have entry/exit lights on the door, you'll have to disconnect them as well (simple click-boot connectors). Easy peasy japaneasy.
