2007 6.6 L Duramax Installation on 98 Chevy Tahoe

Has anybody tried to install 6.6L Duramax on 1998 Chevy Tahoe 4dr. 4x4 with AutoTrac??

Is it possible or pain in the .....?

Will tranny and motor itself fit?

Do I have to change the rear end?

Some opinions pls

Exteme 4x4 on Spike did a Suburban Gorilla conversion with a Banks modified Duramx 800HP in an 87 Suburban. The body is scraped so they are making the mods with bare frame.

 

I keep missing a lot of the shows, one I did catch, they had to modify the frame rails for the engine. The Duramax was too wide in their project to clear the spring buckets for the exhaust.
