Escalade Dash Bezel

I just won on Ebay an Escalade dash bezel with the factory woodgrain trim for my 05 Silverado. It was listed for 2002-2006 but I believe it was for 2003-2007 since it had the larger radio opening. I went to install it last when I realized the top two outer courner have a much sharper corner that my Silverado. In other words, the top two corners of my factory dash are more rounded than the Escalade bezel. I looked up Denali bezels and they seem to have the same rounded corners as the Silverado. Other than that, it fit perfectly. I also checked an 05 Escalade here at work and the dash was the same as the one I received.

 

Has anyone else run into this problem? I really like the look of the factory woodgrain in the Escalade.

There will be an issue due to the Escalade dash having slightly different contours than a Silverado dash. There is an Escalade dash on ebay right now I hope to win, but the price is steep ($158 as of now, w/o shipping). So part of me hopes to win it, while part of me hopes to not win it, lol. I like the Escalade dash a lot. As I understand it, all that is needed is the upper dash board part, the grab handle, and the gauge cluster trim to do the conversion. That's thanks to GM using the same basic dash frame on all the trucks. The dash is two tone, meaning the top part is sorta grey in color, while around the pass. side vents it's tan or some other color. So there may be some repainting required in this case. But it's only a small small portion that would need it. So we'll see what happens.
