Probably have to go centrifigal, such as Procharger. I bet a kit for a 5.7 or 5.0 liter engine would be the closest you could get, considering they are close to the same block, your less 2 cylinders.

Yeah, I've also been looking for a few months now. The closest thing I could find was a Procharger I believe was the brand. They make a blower for I think a 96-00 compact truck and suv with 4.3. I don't see why this wouldn't work on a newer model 4.3. Remember the typhoon and cyclone? I was also thinking of finding a junked one to steal the turbo kit from.

My bad, it was actually Powerdyne. http://www.powerdyne.com/chevy.htm

A supercharger this small only boosts hp 30-40% if I remember correctly. With your stock 4.3 I'm assuming, you're looking at or around 50-80hp gain. Hardly worth it for the thousands it would cost to buy. I have the same engine and have put around $1000 into it. I can only estimate my hp gain from simple bolt on mods but I'm thinking around 40. You can really tell when you drive it though. My point... try to naturally aspire you engine some first. if you're going to put a blower on a truck a 4.3 is not a good starting point considering a blown 4.3 would put out what a stock 5.3 could.

Superchargers.com might have what your looking for. But, for what it would cost, you would probably be better off getting a larger engine. A few mods to a 5.3 would give you more power than you could expect to get from a blown 4.3 , and it should last way longer.

Neat idea about the Sy-Ty, except those are pretty rare and I dun think I've ever seen a junked one. You guys will have to let us know what kinda results you pull from a blown 4.3L. Very interested.

yeah...I'd go down to the salvage and pick up a used 5.3 with for less $$$ LONG before I bothered to go F/I on a 4.3 in one of these trucks.

Completely agreed.

This goes to the age old import vs domestic racing rivalry...but its very simple. Its 128937 times easier to make power with a V8. No replacement for displacement bla bla, more cylinders is gonna = more power, easier. Id just go for a swap, cheaper and easier.
