I have a 02 silverado z71 and the speedomter is off. I took it to the dealer to reconfigure it but they said gm only goes up 260 tire size or something and I have 285 size tires on it. I was wondering what I could do.

You can get a tune and have the tire size fixed at the same time.

can you just take it to a shop and they can tune it to fix it and what is a price range for that.

The dealer lied to you. I had my Suburban reprogram for 265/75/r16

and their tech tool will got up past the 305 size tires.

The dealer wont for libility sake and requirements by GM go that far only what the largest tire that could be ordered with.
