05 lincoln navigator vs. 04 silverado

ok so my dad always talks about how fords are better because his navi has air ride suspension and a nicer interior then my truck. with that said his interior is nicer and it does ride a little bit better but his truck also has 60k retail sticker mine doesnt. anyways he wants to rub it in and wants to run them at a stop lights or do an on ramp or highway run. which normally i would be ok with especially because its a ford but theres one huge kicker his truck has a 6 spd automatic tranny and man can it hit the power band with that tranny (also hits the gas pumps hard hahah) but anyways it worries me especially because he will be able to down shift to the perfect RPM on the highway. what do you guys think about the options he has an 05 lincoln navi with 22s, a 5.4L, 6 spd, and all that weight. i have an 04 silverado ext. cab, reg bed, with a 5.3L, 4 spd auto, k and n drop in filter, bully dog tuner, and custom dual exhaust=a y pipe where the muff. used to be splits to 2 1/4 in. tail pipes with 3 1/5 in tips, i also have stock rims and tire size.

ROFL Absolutely no contest. You would slaughter him pretty badly. Above 70mph he might get an advantage because he's got extra gears but 0-60 it won't even be close.

And then I read he has 22's and I lol'd some more. That navigator will *maybe* do a 17 second 1/4 mile if that with 22's. With your tuner your probably low 15's.

What gears do you have? If you have 3:73's Ill give you some sweet spots to 'offer' him to run from.

If you have 3:73's 0-35mph is a killer, and 60-70 is a killer.

And after you let him hear the 5.3 scream and shatter his front windshield from the awesome soundwaves of you dual exhaust, remind him Fords are slow.

You will slaughter him without a problem. I ran a newer Navigator on the expressway without my tuner and still beat him until I hit my limiter. I then ran another one after I got my tuner and it wasn't a contest.

I hear my Superchips is also a safer tune than that Bully Dog, so you should be running even meaner than me.

I think the biggest thing, no matter what speed you're at, is he weighs sooo much and has all that wheel weight now with those 22s

schmiddy it brings a smile to my face whenever I get the chance to drop the hammer at 60mph. Your head plants back in your rest when she downshifts to a 4500+ 2nd gear.

Funny...floor my truck without wait4me at 60 mph in third and it accelerates at the same speed as if it were in fourth or fifth...but that wait4me makes a big difference...I just need to send it back to him

beware though the newer navigator 03 and up is slow but in 05 they started putting six speed in them although they may still be slow the 4 spds were gutless pigs so its possible if it wasnt an 05 and up it was really slow. the only way to tell the diff. is monochromatic paint job, square fog lights instead of round and the shifting lever.

well i was on the highway the other day and he wouldnt go but i was behind him coming on an on ramp and he kicked it down so i did to and i started gaining alot i kicked it down between 55-60 and went to 85 i was gaining in a hurry. i might get a chance to go at him tonight just have to find the right speed because i think if he caught me doing 75 and go from there i would be sluggish.
