no start Yukon XL 2500

PLEASE HELP!!! I have had my truck at the dealer for this issue twice with no luck. The problem is the truck will not start. When placing the key in the ignition and turning the key over, nothing happens. No "click click" or anything. I have had the battery tested and the cables cleaned and all is fine. In most cases after this happens, if I let it sit for about 15-30 min it will turn over and start no problem. Recently, it did it again, this is intermittent problem, and I let it sit for 4 hours attempting restart about every 15-30 min. No luck, had to tow it to dealer. Monday morning, dealer gets in it, and wham it starts no problem. Please help. I use this truck for hauling a large trailer on long trips and can not afford for this to happen away from home. It is very intermittent and not related to wet or dry days. No rhyme or reason. Dealer says no codes tripped. Any help would be greatly appreciated. It seems to me like the truck doesn't think it's in park. I forgot, this is a 2001 Yukon XL 2500 6.0 engine.

there are a few posiblities Ignition switch, starter relay, wire problem, and neutral safety switch.

Next time it does it shift the truck into neutral or wiggle the shifter and see if it starts then. if it does then it is a neutral safety switch.

If it does not, then the ignition switch, starter relay, or wire problem...note wire problem is a last thing on the list.

I did try to start it while in neutral. No joy there. I moved the gear select everywhere and tried over and over with no joy. Is there a way to test the switches you mentioned???
