on the new 07 1/2 ton if you get the Max towing can you get the 20" wheels?

and as far as Suspension is what is better Z85 or Z60 or Z71

I tow a light trailer and a boat but the boat is only 4 miles and a couple of trips a year....

I'm not sure about the wheels if i had to guess i'm going to say no, but really not sure. However to me it makes more sense to buy a set of aftermarket 20s and keep the stock 17s for when you sell it or in my case i use my stock 16s in the winter snow and salt is hard on my chrome 20s... However i do know that if you get the max towing package you dont have a choice of suspension you have to go with the NT package which will give you the heaviest duty half ton suspesion that they offer.

yeah just tried building one pretty sure i'm right says if i want the 20 inch wheels i need to switch to the high performance suspension package. If you want both going to have to buy some aftermarket 20s, but i mean i payed i believe just under 3 grand canadian for my boss 20s and michelin ltxs. The 20s upgrade according to the site is $1,700 for polished alluminum. So in my mind makes more sense to pay the extra grand for nice chrome ones and have an extra set of rims and tires to boot. If you do go with the gm 20s the suspension package lowers it a bit and you get still get the 6.0L with either the 3.73 gears (potentially better gas miliage) or 4.10s. The max towing package comes only with the 4.10s. It also increases you gvw by 200lb with the heavier duty suspension. Also you get front and back disk breaks. just a few things to think about....

I ordered a crew cab with 20 inch wheels.....I could not get the"full" MAX trailer package, But I was able to get the 6.0 Max engine with the 20's and the high performance suspension package.....i had the option of 3.73 or 4.10 with them. I chose 3.73

Why do you want 20's? They look nice but it will slow you down and kill your milage some.

Actually they won't,The diameter size of the 20's they use (P275/55R20) is the same as the 17's (P265/70R17) and the 18's (P265/65R18)

And no,You cannot get the 20's with the Max Towing pkg.from the factory, and you can only get the Z85 suspension pkg.with it.

More rolling (unsprung) mass will affect handling somewhat.

if you want the NHT 'trailer max package' you get the 6.0max and 4.10's, plus some other towing stuff, rated to 10,500, but can not get the 20" with it. or you can go 6.0max without the NHT package, but only with 3.7s, you can not get the 4.10's, but can get the 20"s, i think tow rating is 8500.
