CAI for 06 sierra/5.3

Hey,

Ya, I recently did a K&N CAI and it was quite the jump. I did the install myself, and if you have tools, and time go ahead. I found on my '07 there was a few mounting problems with one clip which I used longer screws and some nuts to standoff the bracket. As well I used some ty-wraps to hold the coolant hose to the intake.

All total it took two hours.

I later did the Superchips Flashpaq. Holy S@#$ That was awesome. My next move is the exhaust. I finished up my 87 Octane and switched to 91, and tuned accordingly. This wasn't so dramatic [87 to 91] so I'm probably going to run 87.

I guess to get official #'s I'd need to get dyno'd. We'll see if I'm that interested...

Well worth the time and $$ and if you're off the pedal [eventually you will lighten you lead foot] you get more fuel economy too...

Thanks for the info!

I installed the SC 2815 and an QTP electric exhaust cutout last weekend.

The truck is quicker and sounds any way I want, quiet for the neighbors

and any where else for the rest of the world. Just need to get the intatke

up to speed. Thanx again
