'05 GMC Envoy XL

The wife's car is an '05 GMC Envoy XL SLT with 19000 miles. Upon slowing and braking at 10 mph or less, the engine accelerates when she presses the brake pedal. She is not inadvertently hitting the accelerator. Pretty un-nerving to say the least. I think this car still uses a cable connected to the accelerator. Is this correct? Any thoughts or ideas before I take it to the dealership? Thanks in advance.

Not to step on the Tech's toes, but if it's still under warranty, head to your favorite dealer. I have found that it is much easier to do this than not sleep trying to figure out the problem (or jack something up trying to fix it)...

I appreciate it Mike and I have every intention of taking it to the dealer, I was just trolling for info to be better informed. It's a bit of a ride to get there and if it's something simple, I might try it myself. Thanks.

You likely have a brake booster leaking.
