I put the Silverado SS cluster in mine. I like it better than the escalade cluster, the tranny temp guage looks better IMHO

I've got an '02 Tahoe and unfortunately the only thing from a SS that will fit my truck is the rims... which i am looking for... I like them...

I would go with either the silver or white......from the pictures, they look the same.

 

What does the cluster on the SS look like ?

The silver speedometer lettering looks a little cleaner than the white one.

 

An SS cluster looks almost the same as a normal truck cluster but it has a white face background and I think it has a trans temp gauge.

I have the standard escalade cluster in mine, I think I like the silver one better. They don't have an SS cluster for any trucks older than the 03 do they?

Any chance you could post a pic? I'm leaning towards the silver one rite now, i think it will look better.

 

ANy of the guys who have done this, have you changed the bulbs to make the cluster illuminate a different color? I really want it to light up red, and I cant find any one who can tell me how the color is made in these, if it is a filter or if it is done with the bulbs.

Your right, that is sharp looking, the black with white, and the chrome accents. Alas... its not an option... That is for the 03+ trucks... I have an '02

I have a 03 SIlverado that I am wrapping up a Nav swap in. The next thing on my list is speedo cluster. I had not seen the Platinum edition brfore Luv it. Does anyone have a cost on a new cluster? During my Nav install I removed my speedo (Four screws then unplug the harness) I would assume this is all that is need to do the swap.

Ya you are correct, that is all you need to do, remove four screws and plug the new cluster in. Its pretty simple. Check ebay for some prices.

I got mine for $300 shipped w/tax (in state). I got the name of eBay and then called personally. The offer refurbished ones for a little cheaper, but why not get a brand new one for like $50 more

Ya i can get the standard for 250 shipped or the other two for 300 shipped... and for the programming (miles and hrs) it is only another $65
