Autoride

I don't know if this question will get answered but I have tried the local dealer and they can't give me one so here goes. I have a 2002 2500 Suburban with Autoride and the two front shocks are leaking which means I need new ones. These things are over $500.00 for the pair. which is money I don't have lying around. I have the Chilton manuals for this truck and have read extensively about the BSRTD system which from what I can understand is controlled by the BCM which is located on the right side rear of the truck. Is there a way I can just unplug this thing so my dashboard doesn't light up like a christmas tree. It would be a great help if someone new how to disconnect this setup as I also know it works in conjunction with the antilock braking system. I despise Autoride with the intense heat of a 1000 burning Sun's and I'll be dammed if I am going to pay over $500.00 for a pair of shocks. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

If I remember correctly someone on another forum tried that and got codes saying there was something wrong with the system. Thanks for the idea but it almost seems to me there is no way to get rid of this stupid system if it is installed in the truck, without affecting something else.

Disconnecting the system will cause the lights in the dash to be illuminated all the time,The ABS module needs to communicate with the auto ride module all the time or it will set codes and may also illuminate the dash,The only way is to correct the problems,unless you can find some one that can hack into the systems and reprogram the modudes but that whould be to much of a libility for tampering with the safty system of the vehicle.
