Changing Rear End Fluid How To?

I want to change the rear end fluid in my 2005 Sierra 1500 4x4 with the G80 locking rear. What is the procedure for doing this and how much fluid does it take to refill?

 

Im also gonna change it on my dads 06 Dmax but his rear end has a drain plug on the bottom that the 1500 does not have.

Mike, just remove the cover and drain. If there is a gasket, replace it. If not, just use silicon. Torque cover bolts to 30 ftlb. Takes 2.41 quarts of SAE 75W-90 Synthetic Axle Lubricant.
