I developed my first cavity :) but at least its really small right now. Im getting it filled but will it be painful?

No, i'v had multiple cavaties (i eat to much sugar) and as long as they numb you up, you dont feel the thing.

Its just the sound that the drill makes that gives me the willies lol

It doesn't hurt, but the smokey smell/taste that the drill makes while drilling on your teeth isn't too pleasant.

:) Nothing tastes right for the rest of the day. My 4 teeth in the very back are "soft" and are very prone to decay..so I have to get them filled every other year or so. Skoal straight probobly doesnt help. :sigh:

I haven't had any cavities since my baby teeth fell out, but I remember the horrible taste of the drill or whatever it is they stick in your mouth. :)

when I got my braces off 4 years ago I think they were using a drill or sander to get the old glue off my teeth. It was a burnt dusty smell which wasnt nice. But they did that with each tooth so it took awhile. Hopefully this wont since its very small.

Aww, that sucks. Yes, the whole braces removal thing is not fun. I had some metal bands around my molars and I remember them prying those off. I was about ready to smack the orthodontist. Oh memories.

They usually use a handpiece and a small burr to get that adhesive off. Believe me, it's not pleasant looking down the pieholes of patients either!
