Gm-trucks In Your Extended Family

I seriously looked for 10 minutes trying to figure out where to put this thread, but i thought it was a good idea.

 

Do any of your relatives have a GM-Truck?

 

Mine do.

 

To start off, my uncle has a BEAUTIFUL 2006 GMC Sierra SLT 2500 Duramax, black on black.

 

My cousin has a pretty sweet 2003 (i think) GMC Sierra 1500 SLE extended cab, its got a nice chrome grill.

 

My aunt has a 2000 Chevy Tahoe LS. Its got like 160k on it lol

 

My aunt's bf has a 2005 Chevy Silverado 1500 LS.

 

 

And then my moms side of the family all drive fords, BLEH

My brother-in-law has a 2004 Silverado.

My Dad has a '90 F150....I still talk to him though. ;)

My Dad drives a 2000 GMC Sierra and my Father In Law drives a 98 GMC. A few other GM trucks in my distant family.

 

When I sold my Wife's Dodge Intrepid and replaced it with the Yukon XL, my Dad said: "You see, the apples do not fall very far from the tree." I was then accepted back in the family and was able to join him for Christmas dinner for the first time since buying the Dodge.

 

My Mom drives a Chevy Vega with pink and purple flowers on it. Not really but unlike Patrick and his Dad, I find it very difficult to admit she drives a Nissan and have not spoken with her since she bought it.

To be honest, I have WAY too many family/friends that drive GM trucks/suv's to even think about listing them all!

between me, my dad and mom, uncle, aunt and grandma we have a total of 12 chevrolets ranging from a 55 chevy to a 2003 chevy silverado

Haha i only have one relative with a non American car besides my dad and thats my uncle who has a Subaru Legacy. The rest of the family is pretty redneck (not even joking you) lol

My dads '04 chevy 2500 hd, sisters grand am, dads '66 and '68 chevy grain trucks (can't remember which models), '78 (I think) chevy 1/2 ton, which we have been thinking of restoring for a few years.

I had trouble thinking of any family members that don't. My uncle just moved over to a '06 duramax from a cummins, and I don't think that he will be going back from what I have heard so far. One of my brothers has a '69 with an olds 455 in it, as well as a 2000 1500, and my other brother has an '99 STS and a '04 Canyon. My two sisters both drive jimmy/blazers, and my grandpa and grandpa both have S10's as well. My mom is driving an '05 Equinox at the moment. My dad has a '99 3/4 ton that's getting close to 325,000 Km's on it, and he is looking at the new HDs which are popping up all over the place finally up here. I am going to have a look at them tomorrow for him. I can actually only think of a small handful of people in my extended family that don't have GM vehicles in the driveway or on the farm. I have a '99 2-Door Tahoe now, and I passed my '89 s-blazer onto my sister. So there's a few GM's around at the reunions and family gatherings.

Many other GM vehicles in family and in past, these are just the ones off the top of my head.

 

Dad: 2001 Suburban with 130,000 (Owned 3 full size conversion vans and a K5 Blazer in the past and still brags about his offroading adventures in the K5)

 

Brother: 2000 ZR2 Blazer with K&N Intake and Borla Exhaust 140,000 miles

 

Uncle: 2000 (?) 2500 EC 6.0 (Mainly a plow and salt truck for his business)

 

Grandma: 1991 Chevrolet Cheyenne (now know as W/T I think) RC/Standard Bed 4.3 V6 25,000 miles (not a typo). Bought new by my grandfather just before he passed away. This is actually our (Dad, Brother, me) second vehicle and beater truck when we are up north and hunting, fishing, cruising the 40's and backroads. We actually don't use it as much since I got mine, becasue who wants to cram into a RC when I have a CC with leather and all the trimmings? We can offroad while listening to XM.

Currently have '05 Work Truck and '02 Suburban listed in signature, plus have a 1956 C3600 project that I have not touched for 6 years. Previous owner installed a 307/Turbo 350 and an 8 lug dana in it.

 

Dad: 1998 1/2 RCLB with 305

 

Brother in laws have an '06 CCSB LBY and a 2000 OBS ECSB 3/4 Ton with a 454.

Well my Uncle has a s-10 which has to have over 500,000 miles on it... He works for Spitzer Chevy in Northfield,OH(head mechanic)...

He also has a 03 silverado 1500 z71 ext cab and a 05...

 

My wifes dad is a gm employee fixin to retire in the next 3 years, Does anyone know if you retire from GM you can know longer receive gm discount on new cars?
