My O2 Sensor Rattles

checking my 5.3 02 sensors and found the pre cat one on the drivers side was rattling, like one big chunk loose,but there is no light on dash. my guess is it is pooched.

do i need a new one?

all sensors look original with 145,000kms on them and they all have a white powdery coating on them.

The exact same one was rattling like crazy a few month back on me................It was soo bad I thought it was the bottom end of the truck or something...............its stopped since and no light on in my dash either............I havn't replaced mine yet.

I get a rattle on a cold start....sounds like one of the heat reflectors over the exhaust. Haven't actually looked under the truck yet to see.

Reading this thread makes me want to check the O2 sensors.
