Adding Factory Foglamps

Has anyone installed factory foglamps in a truck that did not come with it? If so, was it an easy job or better to pay someone else to do it? The truck in question has the outline in the bumper and the blank space on the dash for the button.

I INSTALLED THEM ON MY 2003 2500HD IT ALREADY HAD THE WIRES IN THE TRUCK LOOK TO SEE IF THEY ARE IN THE AREA JUST ABOVE THE MOUNTING HOLES FOR THE BRACKET THEY LOOK LIKE THE PLUG FOR THE HEAD LIGHT BLUB

THEN I PUT IN THE RELAY AND IN STALLED THE SWITCH WITH THE BUTTON IT IS A NEW CARGO/FOG LIGHT SWITCH AND THEY WORKED JUST FINE

I installed them on my '03 1500, it was a breeze. The worst part about the whole thing was cutting the air dam.

i also have the same question, my truck did not come with the fog lights... but dont know if i should put the factory fog lights or some after market lights..... which would be easier to install?

If you Truck already has the wires i would go with the stock kit

I did everything except the wiring. My truck actually did not come with the wiring to the front of the truck. Paid the dealer $75 to complete.

The one I found is 12499673, someone correct if I am wrong.

Is there a part # for just the lamps???

 

My rig is already pre-wired with the connectors and in the cab switch is already in place. Don't need all the other stuff especially the entire lower fascia...just the lamps.

I could not locate a part number for just the lamps, but did find them on ebay.

Your guess is as good as mine...it's only $80 from partszoneonline.com. If it doesn't just sell it, I'm sure you won't have a problem getting rid of it.

I just installed the kit this morning...all works weel except the light do NOT come on....ugh!!

 

The little light on the switch does come on, and goes out when the high beams are turned on, just like it is supposed to...

 

Anyone have any suggestions??? Thanks
