Roadmaster Active Suspension

My truck is a '97 Suburban 1500 4x4. I pull a 19' bass boat with tandoms and a 18' car trailer with this truck.

A fishing forum I frequent discussed different spring helpers from air bags to adding a leaf. A few guys had installed this Roadmaster active suspension springs on their trucks and had good things to say about them. The biggest problem is making the truck ride rougher when adding suspension helpers. Anyway I purchased a set and installed them myself in the drive. I make my living as a mechanic but these spring helpers are not that difficult to install. After two months of driving the truck. Pulling the boat to the lake a few times, I can honestly say these actually do what they claim. I've noticed a smoother ride both towing and empty. I run 75psi in my KO's, have Bilstien shocks on the truck. Sharp edged bumps are no longer noticed both towing and empty. It raised the truck about 2".

Glad they worked out. I nearly bought a set a few years back and read a lot about them. I have also heard a lot of positive things about them.

Those things are awesome. I had them on my OBS Tahoe w/ over 100k - drastically improved handling. I just wish I knew about them before I "attempted" to replace the leaf springs, which went horribly wrong (new springs didn't work right). Needless to say, I learned my lesson. These were tons cheapers and way easier to install.
