Stay away from gonefishing69 on ebay.

Purchased a distributor from gonefishing69 on ebay and the part was fine but the order handling was terrible. Paid for it midday on Thursday and the seller did not ship until the following Wednesday.

This seller may have some decent parts but their order processing is terrible. Immediate payment but then 4 work days to pack and ship the item.

I'm not trying to sound like a jerk or nothing, but what's wrong with that?

Did waiting a week kill you that badly?

Once again, not tryin to be a jerk, I'm just asking because I don't see the problem, and I'm trying to understand. :driving:

Iam with you on this general lee, you ever think maybe the guy was on vacation or out of town till the following week? As long as you got what you want I dont see the problem eather, if you would have bought it online from some company the shipping wait would be the same or longer. It was shipped out on the 3rd or 4th business day, I dont see the problem.

There was no disclaimer as to how long processing was going to take. I have sold on ebay and ALWAYS have shipped by the next business day after receiving payment.

On some auctions they state 24 to 48 hours processing after payment. That's fine. If that is the case then state it up front.

Well..ebay can pretty much be a big dissapointment at times. I'm usually a seller, but the few times I have tried to buy things, they aren't as described. So, I'm with 03blackburb as far as people being slow to get things out and/or sending me crappy second quality items. If they are away and/or have a good reason things don't ship within 2 days then that's one thing. But I've had to on occassion send sellers mail 5-7 days after I paid right away asking whether what I bought was shipped. Usually right after they get what turns out to be my reminder email, they claim it's on it's way (meaning they shipped it the day they got my email).

Then throw into the mix people that send items that are damaged. I bought 4 supposedly pristine take-off 05-06 GMC 17" alloys I planned on powdercoating black for my black '07 nnbs Silverado. One arrived with a small dent on the outer lip, other three looked decent, but not having only 50 miles on them as claimed. Seller claims dent was from shipping, but who knows. Seems like someone tried to pull a fast one on me, and try and get $ from FedEx through the insurance for a wheel they shipped that way. They have since sent me another, it's due here on Saturday.

The bottom line is, sellers should take more care in, at the very least, making an effort of notifying a buyer either when an item has been shipped, or if there is a delay in shipping the product out. A little consideration goes a long way, and costs nothing.

You're buying off the Internet, from someone who's probably sitting at home in their underwear and eating Cheeto's.

What do ya expect. It's the way of the new millenium. Everyone is trying to screw everyone else.

Caveat emptor !!!

I, luckily, havent had any bad dealings on eBay.... YET.

But hey, if I do, I'll take it up with eBay and/or Paypal, maybe even the Postal Inspector.

But like it's been said, it wasn't THAT long before ya got the stuff, so what's the big deal???

Honestly I see both sides of this but I'm inclined to side with the buyer. If you demand instant payment, shipping should be arranged the next business day, no questions asked.

I for one quit using ebay about 3 years ago due to what I felt was shady policies and I honestly don't blame you for feeling slighted one bit.

You didnt have any problem at all.

Did you expect the guy to ship it to you without letting the check clear? Thats the standard waiting time, I buy and sell on Ebay, Or sometimes there is a 5-8 day shipping time depending on where you are located. Otherwise you pay big $ for overnight shipping

Ebay is set up and gives notices when sellers send and buyers receive payment. And when It gets shipped. Its their fault if the messages didnt get to you. Use the rating to give him a bad mark.

ZZ327 - no check I did an immediate payment with paypal.

I would have no problem with a buyer holding shipment until a check cleared, BUT it was paid with PayPal.

^That is a good website. I have sold guitars, Hank Jr. tickets, and paintball guns on there.

I've gotten out of production computer parts, my coffee table, my riding mower, two REALLY nice office chairs, and a great desk for the g/f off of there lately. CL rocks.

Stay away from Mootees89 on Ebay also. I got ripped for Mass Air Flow Sensor that he never shipped. He was selling Predator programmers and mass air flow sensors for GM trucks. Looks like he got at least 4 others also. I think he's done on Ebay & Paypal, but definitely avoid him too!!!
