Color Matched Grille & Bumper?

NBS Truck. The only reason I don't like the Chevy's is the amount of Chrome on the front end. If I can color match (without taking it to a body shop), then it would be all good to buy a Chev.

As big a chevy man I am, it hurts to say I dont like the new front bumpers. I have a 2004 and I like it a WHOLE lot better. I agree that there is way to much chrome and the painted sides look kind of funny with the chrome in the middle. A solid painted fron would be much better

I have the NBS with all that chrome and hope to change that in the near future. I know that the LTZ models have the whole bumper painted to match the color of the truck and that alone looks a lot better. If I am remembering right I saw on gmpartsdirect.com that they offered a new grill assembly that matched the color of the truck but I am not for sure on that. I will have to check again.

Yeah they sure do. The part number is 19154228 and at a cost of $329.57. I am thinking about getting it on mine but I still think that I need to do something about the center part of the bumper being chrome. What do you guys think? It is a white Z-71.

THAT, gentlemen is BADASS, and I will be ordering my truck to match. Looking @ white, possibly Black Cherry...

I will second that...except for the buying stuff part...I'm broke.

that part takes care of the grill but what about the bumper

The bumper is automatically coloured matched on an LTZ truck. I assume you can replace that panel on a non LTZ though.

On a non LTZ truck you can order the part. I think the piece you are wanting is called a "Bumper Impace Bar" and the part number is: 15836962. (Thanks krww06) Do a serch on krww06's posts and find the topic where he found this out as I think there are multiple part numbers. IIRC he had to go with a "paint to match" bumper bar - meaning that after he purchased it he still had to pay more to have it painted to match his truck  I too would love my black NNBS cc to look like the one above (only with chrome punch grill) ... guess I better start saving. Grill + painted surround + bumper bar = $$$ for a sick looking front end :ughdance:

It's worth it. I had my dealership put the grill on my 07 LTZ and it does look sick (black on black extended cab 4x4). Especially since not too many of these trucks have the colour matched grill...gives it a nice uniqueness.

I checked with my dealer and the price of that center section is over $350 and still needs to be painted! I am working on getting a WT model bumper and then getting the part painted if the paint will stick. I have already replaced the mirror covers painted to match and as of today bought the door handles on ebay for only $15! What do you think about putting the color matched grill on a white truck? I know that it won't look as good the black ones but maybe it will look alright. Let me know what you think.

I think that white would look sick. That is the color that I am getting. I am torn between the GMC and the Chevy though... I like the Chrome GMC bumper, but don't think I like how big the grille is if I put a billet insert into it!
