Magnaflow 16741 Exhaust For Nbs Installed

My friend and installer Mike Hutto installed my Magnaflow 16741 dual exit on my '07 Silverado today. Took a bit of time and tweaking (he installs mostly on F-bodies) but it looks and sounds great ! Thanks, Mike !

That's a nice looking setup, Gregg. I've always preferred duals exiting out the rear. How does it sound in V4 mode? Any Drone?

Newdood, My truck is just a 4.8L work truck, so no V4 mode. I've only driven it about 20 miles since install,so no drone reports as yet...but I will give updates as the miles progress.

Nice deep rumble at idle, it growls during accelleration with a *slight* cabin drone right before each shift and it levels out nicely once up to cruising speed. The exhaust is just a nice background rumble at speed that would not interfere with talking or music. A great combination. I haven't had the radio on for two days !

I'm trying to decide between a magnaflow muffler with stock everything else or to go with a piece of pipe to eliminate the muffler all together. 05 ext. cab long box 2wd with a 5.3, I don't want it to be obnoxiously loud just a nice rumble, any suggestions?

I'd say go with the Magnaflow, you won't be disappointed or waking up the neighbors (unless you want to!).

You'll have to contact your local Magnaflow shop to determine which is right for the stock pipes. Until then, check out your options :

I have the magnaflow 16741 too and love it, they are cheaper on ebay but I wanted a warranty (the salt on the roads here in winter kills an exhaust) so I got it here magnaflow 16741 , or you can try one of the vendors here, they are always running sales/specials. either way its a great system and very easy to install.

Honestly, I have Magnaflow and if I could redo it, I'd get something different. I like what I've got, but since I did it Corsa has come out with their dB series mufflers and if I hadn't already done the Magnaflow, I'd have gotten a Corsa dB Black with turn downs. Corsa is far superior but at the time, a $1000 catback just wasn't(and still isn't) feasible for me. Shop around for a while...
