Front Tires Wearing On The Inside

I have a 05 gmc sierra with 33,000 miles on it. i rotate my tires every other oil change. They are wearing on the inside and i cant seem to get rid of it. Possibly ball joints? Also whenever i am stopped and turn my steering wheel i can feel the powersteering in my wheel whine a little. I remember my 02 chevy they changed the steering box on a campaign. One more thing. When i have my motorcycle in back of my truck going down a long hill and i am pressing on the brakes the pedal starts throbbing like the abs is on and sounds like the brakes are slipping? any suggestions

yeah but why all of a sudden within the last 7000 miles. I think these tires are junk. My 02 i went 53,000 miles on the original tires. they never wore like this. I think it is a tire issue they are bridgstone dueler at. F^%^ junk need some bfgoodrich at.

If you drive mostly on the highway/city roads, get Michelin LTX M/S tires....you'll never look back!

definetly agree with the Michelin LTX tires.. had over 80,000 on my last set and they still had tread left when i took em off.

I would also suggest a front end alignment

look i am a truck mechanic for a living and i see this all the time we run michelin and bridgstones on the steer tires of our trucks. the michelins last till they wear and the bridgstones cupp all to hell. No need to align. I also heard that the dealers know about the problem and they are replacing them. only if you ask? has any one heard this also.

I have had the same problem on my '06 Yukon XL 1500 4wd. Took it to the dealer @ 15,000 on the second tire roatation to have them check the alignment. They stated that all was ok, took it back @ 22,500 and they said all was normal. Tire wear started to get real bad and took it back @ 22,500 and they said the alignment was out, they corrected and said I should have took care of this sooner and they might have been able to do something about it. I suspect after seeing that this is a problem for many others on this forum that GM is aware of the problem and trying to avoid losses at this point. I escalated my situation to the GM customer service and was told that everything that could be done had been done and they offered me free rotation (no balance) and oil changes for a 24 month/24,000 mile period. If anyone does get staisfaction from this I would like to know. I seem to have exhausted the escalation process.

Try spending the $60 or so on the alignment. My wife's car did the same thing - it didn't pull left or right and all of the sudden the insides of the tires started wearing really badly. Had it aligned (and eventually put new tires on it) and have not had a problem since.

My BFG All-Terrains have 63,xxx miles on them and have a lot of tread left. I expect to get at least 12,000 more miles out of them before it is time to replace them. I have had them rotated every 6,000 miles.

If you're a truck mechanic then shouldn't you already know the answer to this? At first you are wondering if the ball joints are bad. Everyone here tells ya to get the thing aligned and you discount it and then claim it is the tires. If you just want some new tires, just get some.

Dude calm down. It could just be he wanted a second opinion.

just called my dealer and they said bridgstone has been having problems with WEAR issues with the duelers at. Talked to two differnt people this morning that have the same tires and they are having same problem at 10,000. So is it a alignment norseman?

Calm down? Calm down about what?? I'm not upset. I don't care if he takes the advice of the people here or not. He got his second opinion but, he proceeds to tell us he's a truck mechanic and there is " No need to align." I was just wondering why did he bother to ask the question here if he already knew the answer?
