I have the factory Eaton locker in my truck and I love it, but then again its the 10.5 gear not the little one so mine works pretty good. In my 96 Z71 I had a Richmond Powertrax and i hated that thing. It was very unpredicable. I sent it back to Richmond and they sent me a knew one but there was no way i was putting that back in. I prefer Eaton personally, Detroit is very good too, and Detroit is also an Eaton company. A few guys I race with also use Detroit lockers. Can't go wrong with either.

Depends what you use the truck for. Racing, or Hard wheeling a Detroit is your best bet. But if you do a lot of street driving A Detroit will make it very difficult to drive, especially cornering in the rain.

The E-locker Is a good all round unit, due to its ability to be disengaged when its not needed. This saves fuel and lets you have an open diff for normal daily driving, but when the going gets rough you have a second wheel to do the job without tossing it into 4HI, plus you will stay straight when driving on wet pavement.
