has anyone installed the new NBS Husky mud flaps yet? if so I would love to see some pics. I like the fact that they are plain black with no emblems.

I got the 12" x 20" for the front ad the 12" x 23" for the rear. They are nice.

Fronts mount using existing holes, rears use clamps (no-drill install).

How much for the luverne??

 

I don't recall exactly, but I think the set of four was around $100-120 or so. Not cheap, but you get what you pay for.

I did put them on my truck, unfortuntly I did have to remove the rear tires to drill some holes. Other than that easy to put on.

 

Think I paid $45-$50. Like the look of the Luvernes better.

Vmax, I know I've probably asked before, but those sit flat behind the fenders? In other words, do they wrap up along the body or no? I want to avoid something that wraps due to the paint rubbing concern as well as the possibility for corrosion with the salt up here in the midwest. Thanks

Here is a picture of the Huskey mud flap. I like the all black look and they were easy to install. They come with a clear film to protect the paint. I replaced the screws that came with them with bolts and nuts. Got mine from Cabela`s

Nope, they do not wrap around and do not touch any paint other than on the inside lip of the flange. Now worries there.

Sweet, any ways to get some close-up pictures? How do the fronts mount up with those wheel liners already in place? I never got flaps/guards on Big Blue, but I think Maxine should have a set.

Fronts use existing holes in fender lip, rears use clamps. (no holes in rear lip).

Any way to get some pics of your ride with them on, perhaps from behind and also the mounting of each? I know I'm being a pita, but I want flaps to keep the chips down, but don't want water/salt getting trapped against the paint like my combo flares/boards did on my old Jimmy.

Scroll up and look at post #9, I edited it with pics while you were requesting them. What can I say? I am psychic. I didn't get a pic of the mounting though and my camera's card is full. But the front ones mount over the top of the liner. Just buy the d**n things, you will like them. :)

You've got me pretty much sold on them. I'm getting the GM steps as well(Friday or Saturday hopefully), so I can see how the stainless on the guards will bring it together. So no drill on the rears, and the fronts appear as if you'd just back the existing hex headed screws out that go into the fender liner, correct? No drilling? Being in the midwest, I'm just concerned about drilling and all that could yield a spot for corrosion.

VMax, what size are your wheels? I have 20s and am not sure mud flaps will work for the fronts because there doesn't seem to be much clearance.

      You can always count on greed to prey on ignorance and stupidity.    Friend bought a 2019 Ford Flex and asked me about using Valvoline R&P 5W30 in it. Told him give the miles on it and the fact it wasn't yet using oil that it was a good plan. He uses a Valvoline quick change shop for his oil service.   First they tell him that isn't the oil the OEM recommends. He told them he didn't care what the OEM thought. Then they floated the, "But it will void your warranty"    His reply was it's a 2019, there is no warranty and informed them their knowledge of the law was lacking.    Then they tell him 'But it will ruin your motor"!.    Mine to ruin he says. Finally they give in and charge him 150% the semi-syn price    Point it the brainwash is so embedded that even the service industry is drunk on their swill. The public is right behind them. Echoing the same lies on every forum and media platform. If the end goal is indeed EV then I'd say that ship is about built.

      2026 6.6 L5P oil cooler leaking oil at 4,000 miles

      New to diesel trucks. I happened to find my oil cooler leaking oil externally with only 4,000 miles on the truck. I didn’t realize this was an issue until I started researching it. Dealer is going to replace it under warranty but I’m wondering if there’s anything GM is working on to fix this issue. I’ve heard the oil filter used is the same as they use on their V6 motors and that’s what is causing the problems. Should I switch to a bigger filter or keep using the OEM recommended?

      Seems to be Missing a lot of Updates

      So, GMCustomerService:  Judging by the Update History pictured above, is this truck missing any updates that it actually needs. If it's just for the infotainment system, the radio is working fine and no trouble with SeriusXM. and Android Auto is working fine wirelessly with my phone. Some months ago, an update notice was sent to my truck. I approved the update and it finished saying that the update was successful, but it seems that whatever that update was, it didn't actually get installed - at least not if I'm to go by the Update History shown above.   So, again, are there any updates that this truck really should have? I've checked with my dealer but they're reluctant or commit to anything and if I want them to check, they require a $200.00 fee just to check it out and then I'd have to pay for the actual update(s).    Ignorance is bliss, and if none of the updates goes to fixing any mechanical discrepancies, I'll just leave things as is.
