Maybe you guys knew this but i didnt. They have a diablo sport predator for the NBS and it removes TM!! it says 2007 Truck or SUV: 8th digit of the VIN= C, 3, 0, J, K, Y or 8 my 8th digit is 0 and it says NBS on the site so i guess they make it but i didint think they did. what do you guys think? idk much about this company. thanks Jack

This is there explaination on the removal of tm , the part # for the NBS trucks is U7 194

TM Abuse Mode time limit:

This is the time in abuse mode as a function of temperature. Turning it off in conjunction with Upshift Torque reduction and %Torque Reduction vs RPM will eliminate torque management.

%Torque Reduction vs RPM:

Torque reduction as a function of RPM, turning it off in conjunction with TM abuse mode time limit and upshift torque reduction will eliminate torque management.

Upshift Torque reduction:

Torque reduction control for each individual gear, turning it off in conjunction with TM abuse mode time limit and %Torque Reduction vs RPM will eliminate torque management. However we have noticed that the shift feel when disabling the upshift torque reduction in trucks and SUV's is reduced and therefore recommend leaving it ON for trucks and SUV's.

Where did you read/hear that the Diablo Predator removes TM on the NBS trucks? I know it does it on the OBS trucks, but as far as I know, it does not for the NBS trucks. The NBS trucks use a completely new/redesigned ECM (E38), so just because the Diablo removes TM on the old ones does not mean it does on the NBS ones.

Edit: You were typing my answer as I was asking it!!! Scary. However, I would get this verified, it looks to be a "canned" explanation on TM removal, I am not sure it applies to the U7194, at least from what I have read/heard anyway. But I could be wrong.

thats was there claiming on there site.

here's the link http://www.diablosport.com/index.php?modul...play&pid=83

when you get to the page click on the right side where it says click here to see more details on how to ajust paramaters. tell me what ya think Vmax??

also i found this on another site that sells this exact programmer

Flex Fuel Vehicles: fueling with E85 is not recommended in conjunction with your DiabloSport unit. Burning E85 reduces efficiency and power compared to using gas, which nullifies the effect of DiabloSport’s programming.

is this a big deal or are they just trying to cover their Azz???

I found the u7 194 on autoanything for 319.95 shipped , so this is looking better than the edge if the tm removal is for real. There site says the the u7 194 features tm removal so i guess ill just call them to confirm :D

After reading their explanation about TM, sounds like you need to be an engineer to figure it out! I sure hope it's clearer than that when you loading the tune! After reading VMax's post on future updates to the Edge, I think I'll stick with it and see what happens, besides, can the Diablo Sport do this:

Last time I checked a few weeks ago they still did not have all the BS out of the NBS trucks. Don t forget about the WOT delay. Ask them about that.

yes, that is the "Canned" explanation of TM I was referring to. I think it is generalized for the entire Predator product line and may not be applicable to this particular model...yet. Like I said, I am not sure about this, but from what I have read researching this, the Diablo cannot alter/remove TM from the NBS's E38 ECM yet. If it could, other's (such as Edge) would also have it figured out, I think they are all working on it diligently though.

I know that mine has the TM but it screams when on extreme and using 93. I love this thing. I like it alot better than the hypertech in my wife's tahoe('04) beacuse it already has the parameters set and I dont have to spend 30 min programming when I want to change something.

i agree , i like the edge much better. the diablo can do some technical stuff but idk how to ajust that s**t and i dont wanna screw something up trying to ajust fuel curve , timing and that other s**t. Im just gonna buy the edge. thanks for the info guys , i guess diablo just needs to wacth what they put on there site. Jackster

one other question i have is that if im in park or neutral i can only rev it up to 4 grand before it limits it. my 06 would bounce off 6k, does the edge remove this, i would like to rev it past 4k when i get an exhaust!!! thanks Jackster

At this time, the only customizable parameters on the Edge are changes in top speed limiter, and changes for tires and gears. I have no idea if the rev limiter has been adjusted in any of the "canned" tunes as I've never tried to rev it that high.

Why would you want to rev it past 4K in neutral? To hear the exhaust? Sorry, but I cannot hear GM engineers saying: "Screw the (engine) safety feature, let's let people rev'er up till she blows so they can hear the sound of the exhaust just before she blows up".:P:crackup:
