Here are some pics of the 2" leveling kit from Rough Country that I got installed. I think it look ALOT better and am very happy with the finished product.

Looks pretty sweet and those are the most convincing photos of a leveling kit I've seen yet.

I'm still hung up on losing the warranty though if I go through with it, unless I can find a dealer that wouldn't burn me if I had them install it. Decisions.

Well... they have to prove that whatever you installed REALLY caused the problem. They can't void your warranty just because it's installed.

looks cool. I had the revtek leveling kit and the ride was a little harsh while towing or basically just harsh if you were offroad. I switched and went rough country 2 inch and have been pretty pleased. I wish it were a little higher in the front than the back but no biggy. I too have the edge in my truck and I also have the k&n intake kit. It made a pretty big difference. Mine will hit 0-60 in 7.2 on extreme. My little bro's truck is just like mine except he has dual exhaust and his has 17's as well as being a gmc but still a CC Z71 and his with extreme mode will do 0-60 in 6.8, trust me, I didnt believe it either but he has the time on his evolution and it is dnag fast.

I drove a about a with quarter ton of AC and heating equiptment about 300 miles on thursday, truck rode so much better with a load in it and I still got 18-19mpg. looked much more level too.

I might just strap down 2-100lb sandbags over the axle for the winter.

can GM really refuse warrenty because you lowered the back or raised the front?

its not like a major suspension mod.

I know we wouldn't refuse the warranty at our dealership just for a leveling kit or coil spacers.(Of course they don't refuse me no matter what I do since I work there!)

Just make sure you get an alignment,We definetely wouldn't warranty any tire wear due to not getting an alignment.

Are there any advantages to having the Rough Counrty lower blocks opposed to the top spacers? The Rough Country is definately more reasonable.

I think the Rough Country kit is easier to install,Plus you don't have to cut any of the upper strut studs off like you do on some coil spacer kits.

Let me get this straight...

Rough Country's kit lowers the rear?

Other Leveling kits w. spacers, you have to cut stuff?

d**n that sucks

No,The Rough Country's kit lifts the front-end,What he meant was that their kit goes on the bottom of the strut instead of on the top like coil spacers do.

And Yes,Some coil spacers require you to trim the studs on top of the strut to fit their spacers on top.I know Daystar brand coil spacers do,I have a set I bought that I now don't need because I ended up going with the Rough Country kit.

Since this type of lift ONLY lifts the truck by spacing the strut higher, then, theoretically, it should not affect the caster or camber angles of the front end. Obviously, it is always wise to insure against unnecessary tire wear by having a front end alignment. What is your opinion MS3DALE?
