Low Fuel Light

My low fuel light used to ding when it came on. I noticed the last few times the low fuel light came on it did not ding. Any suggestions to what this could be ? Is there a plug in buzzer under the dash ?

Do you still have your stock radio installed or has it been replaced w/ an aftermarket system?

Still have stock radio, but i didn't think my dinger came through my speakers ? Does it in a '01 ?

No you're right....it doesn't. I've never run my truck down to the point of the low fuel light coming on so I'm not sure if mine will "ding" or not at that point. I know it does w/ the parking brake applied when trying to drive off and I do have an aftermarket stereo in my truck.

Usually I fill up at 1/4 tank, yesterday I went til the lamp came on, no ding a ling tho. Maybe you have to drive a few miles with the lamp on??

Thanks for the replys, I'm thinking now mine probably never made a noise, I think I'm confusing it with my '05 work van which does ding when the low fuel light comes on. I drive the work van all day long, and only drive my truck on the weekends.
