Going To Buy Oem Nav From Ebay

I'm going to buy a GM OEM nav system from e-bay for my NBS 2007 GMC Sierra 1500. I have the Bose, Onstar and XM. I do NOT have the rear seat entertainment system. The unit I am looking at buying has the head unit, GPS antenna and nav disk but no user's manual or install instructions.

Does anyone have any pointers for me or places where I can get an owner's manual or install instructions?

Instructions really shouldn't be an issue. The head plugs in directly where your will come out, using all the smae connections. The only thing you'll add it the GPS antenna and you can stick it almost anywhere inside the dash as long as there is nothing metal above it blocking it's view of the sky. I did that with my '04 TNR head and it worked flawlessly.

The question for you is do they still make LUX and Non-LUX heads? If so, make sure you get the right one. That was a problem in the Classic models. Not sureif it carries over to the NBS.

I bought the radio tonight and I think I got a good deal. I got what appears to be a new head unit for $589 plus shipping from ebay. The thing still has the plastic on it. Now I just need to buy the antenna and disk.

Antenna will run you @ $50 from the dealer. Watch Ebay for the NAV disk. You will also have to have a Vehicle Speed Sensor wiring harness available from JP Customs that will give your VSS when your actual GPS signal is blocked. Here is a link. Good luck. Oh yeah, you will have to take it to a dealer to have it programmed to your truck. Otherwise, you cannot use the GPS.
