Engine Block Heater

Recommended Posts

I have had this truck for less than a year and don't know all the in's and out's yet. I know on my previous GM vehicles, the plug in for the engine block heater was nicely coiled up near the front of the engine compartment. If I have an engine block heater on this truck, where would it be?

Thanks.

Should be in a similar spot - Taped to the big wire harness down low on the left side of the engine.

Look on the front topside of the drivers side frame rail in the engine compartment,You might also be able to see some of the cord hanging down from the frame rail if you look up underneath the front of the left front tire.

The RPO code for the block heater is K05 if you want to check the SPID label in the glovebox.

I have two 07' Escalade's, both with block heaters, one was easy to find hanging near the raditor on the drivers side, the second truck it was hidden in wire loom and the plug end was taped with black electrical tape, making finding it a pain.
