Hey All,

 

I just joined this forum and im liking it so far...has tons of usefull information

 

anyway to the reason im posting this is because I want to get some more power for my truck but im not sure what to do. Im going to do an intake kit soon and I already have a really good sounding exhaust package. I was just wondering if Y'all had any ideas for a programmer or anything that would get me better accelleration and more horsepower...im only looking to spend about $400 so any ideas yall had would be great...All my truck specs are below...Thanks in advance for the help!

I used the "Hyper-tec" tuner on a '96 1/2 ton I had and it helped a "noticeable" amount (I didn't use the "premium fuel" setting). You can set shift points, reset the speedometer for tire size or gear swaps. There are other "tuners" available that are probably just as good. Good luck!

IMO, skip the Hypertech and go for a custom tune. I had the Power Programmer for a couple years. Yeah, it made an improvement. But after I tried a tune (wait4me) I sold my Hypertech within a month.

Still verily new, so help me out please, where do I get or find out about the 'TUNE (WAIT4ME), programmer or set up? :devil:
