1996 Dually Crew,6.5

Well hi to all of you GM truck nuts,

 

I will explain a bit about the truck i want and am looking at and i will leave it up to you pros to let me have your help and words good or bad.it is a 1996 GMC crew cab dually 6.5 with 120,000 miles on it,full load truck including leather,the owner has told me he has never had a bit of problem with the truck it looks good runs good .i hear some guys in here talking about pumps head problems ect,is this maybe a exception or maybe a well taken care of truck,the price is right i think i can buy it for 9500 dollars oh ya it is a 2 wheel drive.

 

Any advise or comments much apriciated.

I'd try to haggle down on the price. Use the numbers against him; 11 years old + 120k.

Well i got him down to 8500 ,but i am not to sure about these 6.5 diesels,can anyone tell me about these 6.5,s are they a good engine what fuel mileage to they get and has anyone had any luck putting lots of trouble free miles on theres, :

The 6.5 is a good motor... not a powerhouse by any means but it is a good motor, and it is a diesel so it will last for alot longer than 120K.

I would try to get the price down more mainly because, as said above, 11 y/o, 2 wheel drive.
