07 Sierra 6.0l Computer S/w Version

I have a 07 Sierra 6.0L built December 06. Is there a way to tell what version s/w is in the computer. I am assuming that by now GM has updated the programming, hopefully for the better.

 

One of the problems I have is hesitation, as in turn a corner, step on the gas, hesitates then step on gas harder and then it jerks. I would think that I should be able to smoothly go around a corner, ease back on the gas without having poor response and then a harsh jerk as it finally kicks in.

 

I also notice it seems to hesitate sometimes in a straight line when I step on the gas.

 

For a big V8 I would have thought these should have more low end torque, seems you really have to get the revs up over 2k before there is any response.

 

Does any one have any insight into what GM is doing with the programming?

Interesting, I have the same thing with mine that was built in March.

Same here, early march build. I notice this about 80 to 85 % of the time, other times, it pulls right and feels normal, but mostly the poor bogging/clunck of the driveline and lazy transmission feel.

try a pcm tune. It does feel better after that but it s no miracle.

Mine does the exactly same thing, the sudden pause and jerk when you get back on the gas is really annoying and everyone just tells me it's because of the PE 4 second delay and that I need a computer tune. But it obviously isn't because I'm not punching the gas to the floor, simply touching it again and the truck pauses then jerks.
