Best Bedliner?

Hi everyone... I'm a proud new owner of an 08 Sierra ext. cab. Just looking for recommendations on a hard bedliner. Which brands are the best? How much would you pay?

I recently purchased a Dualliner:

It's rather unique because it's a 3 piece affair (plus the tailgate cover). The sides are made of the typical hard plastic, like other liners, but the floor is a heavy rubber mat that fits into a slot in the sides & front cover, effectively locking all the pieces together. It takes just a few minutes to install, and I love it!

I just had a brand X liner under the rail installed in my new rig.

Cost $169 bucks installed at the local truck mod. store.

Sure gonna help save the bed from getting beat to death!

Not to mention.........Don't let the spray in crowd scare ya with the old

"paint rubbed off" or "your bed is gonna rust out stories" !

If you use your truck HARD.........a drop in is the only real protection!

I have a sprayed in Line X and it's been great; used the truck for hauling all manner of landscape material and seen it "self heal after pitchfork damage. It won't keep the bed from getting dented though. I really don't have any experience with a drop in, one way or the other. I have had a terrible experience with a Rhino liner. I do know that the drop ins can build up static electricity and get you in trouble if you fill a gas tank sitting on it under the right circumstances. My .02

Just bought one for mine! Can't wait until I get her back and install it.

It had a factory liner in it when it was used as a work truck, and I gotta say, I was shocked when they removed it for the paint job. There was a little bit of paint wear but nothing that wouldn't rub out nicely. That liner did an excellent job of protecting the bed from a LOT of abuse. If I were going to use it for work, I would put the liner back in, but I'm using it for play so the rug is the way to go. I couldn't stand all the ribs in the liner, especially if I want to sleep in it!

In the end, the moral is it depends on your intended use, which liner is the best.

IMO, a drop in would definitely be the best, i have a gm drop in over the rail bedliner in mine that has taken a beating.. from 30lb block being dropped in or a load of firewood getting poured she doesn't have a mark on her.. and that the light stuff i do to it... its real easy to clean up too... no soap.. just the hose and it looks like new!

i have a speedliner in my 2001 sle, i still looks like brand new. i'm on the east coast, not sure if they are even around anymore.

I have a spray on liner. Sorry, but i can't tell you what brand ( bought the truck used and it was already there ). I haul alot of sand wich is very abbrasive and after 14 months the liner is still in top shape. whatever you choose, I hope it works out for you.

If you go drop in or spray, go with an underail model.

Drop in: over rail models scratch the hell out of the bedsides

Spray in: I have yet to see an over rail liner that is perfectly straight down the bedside, personally that is a peeve of mine, maybe not to all

I have a Penda Proliner and it does a good job. I've hed them in quite a few trucks. I know everybody has a favorite type / brand but just having one of some kind is the key.

ANY liner is better than not having one.
