How To Secure The Edge Evo?

I go the evo in today and to my suprise it was already black! Also I have no clue how to secure it useing the 3m velcro strips. The way the pod is shaped it wont sit in the dash enough the velcro it. I mean its the right pod but I just dont see a way to hold it down besides the little tabs up front. Can anyone help?

Which dash do you have?

 

Here is a pic of mine installed, I have the SLT (LT) dash. I had to call Edge to get the right Pod since they typically send the standard dash pod.

 

 

 

 

I used the 2 aluminum angles provided along wih the double-backed tape and 3M Dual-Lock (Velcro). the directions weren't great, but you'll figure it out.

I thought that the 3M adhesives supplied were just scotch tape with a 3M sticker on them so I took my automotive grade twin sided 3M and stuck that SOB on there, On the pod there is little plastic tabs inwich the brackets mount too.

I took the two pieces and aligned them the best I could, took the tape off one side, attached it to the pod, lined everything up where I liked it and then pulled the tape from the buttom half (the velcro pieces are still together) and mounted it to the dash. I have the SLT dash as well, so I don't have the tabs. I would think it would be easier with the tabs as they ensure the pod is in the correct position.
