no really this is what will happen:

 

The two-inch reduction in rear height provides a more neutral stance, eliminates axle wrap during part throttle launches, and drops ten pounds of unsprung weight.

On my truck, it dropped the back end 1 1/8". Looks much better IMO. you will need shorter u-bolts, however. GM p/n 15002781 and approx $60 for 4.
