Warranty Transfer Question

What's involved in the transfer of a Chevy warranty? The website says it's transferable but then doesn't mention anything about how it's done and what's involved. Is it just paperwork (where would I get the form?) or a fee or what?

Anybody know? Website really compares it to other brands and says transferable but then doesn't say anything else about it.

you do nothing, whenever you trade the vehicle, the warranty follows the vehicle, so whoever gets it next will probably get a copy of the remaining warranty. No fees, no paperwork (except the normal vehicle title transfer paperwork that comes with trading the vehicle) GM really dont care who owns the vehicle, only whether if the warranty is still in effect or not. (cant say the same for dealerships though.)

So you just sell it to someone and they get the warranty no questions asked? That doesn't sound right to me.

Yep,Thats how it works,Its worked that way for as long as I can remember (Going back about 20 years!!)

Theres nothing to transfer,It goes with the vehicle like M. Cueva said.

Ok thanks much, first vehicle I've sold that still has a warranty in forever.

MOST mfrs. new vehicle warranty is good for any registered owner as long

as its under the coverage time/miles.

Extended warranties are different !
