Avic- D3 And Factory Cd Changer

Hey Guys Newbie here... but was interested in installing the Pioneer AVIC-D3 in my wife's truck. Aside from the fittment issues, does anyone know if the stock CD changer at the bottom console can be retained if using the Pioneer AVIC-D3 or will the changer unit have to be removed? Thanks for any input.
