Question About 07 Hd Tires

I just took delivery of my New 07' Hd Ex Cab long bed duramax diesel and i love it.. the only thing is i had my wheels and tires switched over and my 285 tires are rubbing a lil bit in the front and now in the back of the wheel well . It's the new style so i was wondering if anyone had this problem and what they did to fix it. i dont mind trimming but it looks like its hitting the metal of the fender in the back of the wheel well..

Crank your torsion bar adjusters up 4 even turns on the bolt this will give up about 1.5 to 2" of lift in the front, but jack to front up with the wheels off the ground before you do it, it will look better and will take care of your problem.

I don't think an 07 NBS has torsion bars...am under the impression that all of the 900s get coilover suspension up front.

If the truck is the new body style.......the 1/2 tons get the new stuff (coil springs).....the 3/4 and 1 tons are the same frame as before but with the new body.....hence no coil springs.

Yea it has torsion bars, but its alot more turns then 4 to get 285's not to rub.. and to even it out.. its rainy out today so ill get pics up as soon as i can

I just leveled mine out and installed 285's last week. No rubbing, no trimming.

I have the same truck, but put a 6" RCD lift and 35" Toyo's on, and found that instead of cranking the bars, you can actually cut the back of the front fender with a torch and weld it and gain up to 1" of clearance. A quick weld and some touch up paint to keep it from rusting, and your all set, and that way you dont take the wear and tear on your IFS. Cranking the bars is a quick fix, but with these IFS setups, it can take a fair amount of life out of your front end. Especailly with the weight your supporting with your duramax up front....
