Pull it out and paint it. That's what eveybody is doing. Simple, cheap, effective.

i tried that but don t like the finish I m getting. Saw a chrome one maybe, different look though. It blends in, instead of standing out. Not sure yet.

You can wetsand with a little 1400 grit paper and polish it to a great finish. Even if it is a little rough.

How about a sticker. I had the US Flag one on my old truck, looked good IMO.
