Front Tire Rub With Snowplow:

Recommended Posts

Okay I have a 2003 GMC 2500 Sierra 6.0L, extended cab with BFG

LT285 75R16's. I mounted the 8' Diamond/Myers plow this past weekend

and have a slight tire rub in the front with the plow up. It looks as if someone

tack welded the bolts on the torsion bar keys so adjustment is going to be

as issue here. Any ideas in the mean time, e.g. air shocks for the front, etc?

Thanks!

find the idiot with the welder and shoot him.

You can try the firm timbrens, but without a torsion adjustment, that is a half baked idea IMO.

I have timbrens, and they are not enough with the diesel, and a heavy plow. I have ordered a set of firestone's new air bag over shocks for the front of my truck. They are not cheap.

I have Timbrens on my Duramax. With the plow up there is no rubbing on the 285's. I adjusted the Tbars a little to clear the tires. Here are a couple pics. One with the plow up and one with it down to see how little sag there is.
