Outside Mirror Upgrade

Has anyone upgraded their NBS Silverado to the outside mirrors with the blinkers and courtesy light? I just did this and all worked well except the courtesy light doesn't work. I suspect it is because the second plug in harness on the mirror wiring harness had no place to plug in. Do I need to replace the door lock switch?

I wish I had a choice of that option on my GMT900.

 

I have the optional Light Package on my 1990 1500. Two extra floor lights. I miss that. It's the little things.

Yeah, I believe these mirrors are from an Avalanche or Tahoe

There was a posting for adding/modifying features regarding the mirrors, something to do with GM's LAN system, and a more involved process of installing/modding.

When and where was that post? I sure would like to get the exterior courtesy lamp working with the inside lights. I am pretty sure this a suburban/tahoe/avalanche option, and maybe avaible on the LTZ Silverado.
