Will a 2500 HD Silverado hood and Grill Fit on a 1500 Silverado?

they look the same except one is bigger vertically..

has anyone seen or have this hood mod?

The hood will fit but the grille won't. It extends further down than your current grille. HD trucks have a wider filler between the bumper and grille and I believe the bumper is mounted lower. Several people in here have used the HD hood on their trucks.

Get a 2500 if you need that look, rather then trying to make a fake one.

and im not trying to reproduce a 2500 and i dont Need that look..but i like the way the 05 silverados have a heavy duty hood, it makes them look "meaner"

besides.. 2500s are slow

I think you are confused. The 06 hood is the HD hood. I have one on my 05. Neither will fit your 02 though.

Hey now, a 2500 might be slow but mine still beat the gaylorious hemi in my buddy's truck! Why don't you look into a cowl hood? they can make almost anything look better. I say almost anything because I did see a Escort Zx2 with a cowl hood and it didn't look any better.

I like the early 800 HD hoods. The ones with the "bump" in them.
